C. G. Jung
Biographical Information
A native of Germany, I came to the United States in the 1960’s. I have been married and have four grown children. My academic background is in medieval literature: I received a PhD in that field from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee.
As part of my mid-life crisis and transition I underwent a Jungian analysis, returned to Europe and trained as a Jungian analyst in Zurich, Switzerland. My special interest is the psychological implications to be found in myths and fairy tales. It fascinates me how this archetypal material plays itself out in everyday life in our twenty-first century.
I am a senior Jungian analyst, and as such I am involved in the training of future Jungian analysts both in the USA (New Orleans and Memphis) as well as abroad (Zurich, Switzerland). I really enjoy giving lectures and conducting workshops and retreats. I have a private practice in Birmingham, Alabama but also see clients on an on-going, regular basis in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
